Looking for a C-30

I'm looking for a early to mid 80's C-30 tall rig with bowsprit to replace my current H240. I sail on the southern part of the Cheasapeake Bay and club race on weaknights. Are there any particular years in the 80's that had problems such as blister, bowsprit failures, ect. Just starting the search this fall hope to pick one up at a decent price. I dont mind doing cosmetic work suche as varnishing ect. Thanks for any help.

Get an '87 or newer

In 1987 they offered factory barrier coating. Earlier boats were more prone to blisters. They also moved the genoa tracks inside for better performance that year.There's a 1980 C30 on eBay in LI/NY for $7500. Looks like a good deal.Homer
