You have a model in the old unit. The possibility of finding an OEM replacement is slim... So a creative boat owner gets resourceful.

Here in the Pacific NW, we have a shop (RailMakers NW) that bends stainless steel among other things. They will fabricate just about anything.

Checking out Chicago (on line) I found this site... Bar Foot Rail Tubing
Perhaps you could bring them your "pulpit". The concept of bending steel to form a bar rail is not that foreign to the idea of building a pulpit out of SS 1.5" od pipe.

Besides you might meet a metal guy who would like to go sailing. The metal guy does bar work. He might know a bar that has extra beer. Heck you could fine a network of fun.

1. Have you asked also on the Ericson site?

2. I had a new pulpit fabricated by a local shop. They did a horrible job and used substandard metal that rusted right away. When some bozo hit me at anchor a few years later, I had Rail Masters do the work, superb.

3. You don't need a pattern. If the folks doing the work can't figure it out, you're in the wrong place.

4. If you have photos, even a brochure, that would help.

Good luck.
