I need the plexiglass slide hatch for my 1982 Cherubini Hunter 33.

I am sure that there is some overlap in the model years so not just 1982

This is may last ditch effort before making one, so I am hoping someone may have seen one.

Making one will be challenging as the plexiglass is formed so......

Please let me if you have seen one of these boats for parts.

Thanks,

I will give them a shot.

I have made many parts and repairs but bending 1/2 acrylic is not something I am looking forward to.

The stock is expensive and if it breaks during machining, OWCH!!!!

It's not that bad to bend. You need to be patient and watch your temperatures closely. Slow even heating...

Depending upon the shape, you may be better served making a form. It can take longer making the correct form than actually bending the piece.

1/2" acrylic is thick enough you may need an oven. How big are your hatches?

If you post pictures of the pieces, could probably give you a better idea...

Thanks

No pics at this time but,

it's about 26" x 26" and has a 1" arch on one of the axis.

Well 2025 was weird with no hurricane landfalls.... but 2024 was one of the worst ....

I would look around places that had been struck. Here is a list from Wiki

It would seem to me that an old plexi hatch would have UV damamge, which is probably related to why you need one. For starters, I would not look in the south.

The slider on my F-24 is similar size but flat. You may not need the arch. Depends on the turtle.
