I had good luck with....

I recently had to transport my boat from Connecticut to Norfolk, VA. I used Mariner Marine Transport out of Flordia. His prices were very reasonable compaired to some of the estimated I recieved. His has ad is in Soundings, I don't have the phone number on me.

Boat Hauler

I used Jocelyn Marine Transport out of Salisbury, MA 159 Bridge Rd Salisbury, MA 01952 (978) 462-9717 as well as Independent Boat Haulers in Eliot, ME. 32 Dow Hwy Eliot, ME 03903 (207) 439-8871 Both were reasonable and professional. If I were to choose between the two, I'd go with Jocelyn's. Good luck, Bob

Boat transport

I've used two people out of the Marblehead/Salem MA area for short hauls (40 - 50 miles):Marblehead Trading (don't have the # handy) and Richard's Marine Transport, 781 639 1622. They both charge by the hour - Richard gets $75, Marblehead Trading used to get $89, but seemed to take less time. There's also Overland Marine out of Newburyport or thereabouts. My friend in Hampton had good luck with them.
