Looking at an Oday 27, 1977. Boat is in amazing shape on deck, riggings, interior, engine has only 500 hours and seems brand new, in fact the whole boat seems new. Only problem is I can feel 2 to 3 small blisters on the bottom reaching down over a three square foot area(Only area I felt). Love the look and feel of this boat, but do not want to have a consistent headache. Would not consider boat if not for the excellent condition of the rest of boat (Best I have looked at by far). Going out of water for survey on Wednesday. Looking for advice, or past experiences from other owners of Oday sailboats. Willing to pay to have problem fixed to a certain extent, but I believe the boat woiuld have to be dryed for an extended period of time (Meaning no sailing) or am I mistaken. Please Advise! Mark

Great Boat

I don't know about the blisters -- not even sure what they are -- but I have that same boat & I love it. Fast -- easy to sail -- nimble -- comfortable for its size -- and can be acquired cheaply

Thanks for the response

I do not think blisters are a serious issue with these boats, based on what I've read. This boat has some however, the pullout and survey will show to what extent below where I could feel. A 26 year old boat is hard to find without any. Feel great about the model of boat, just hoping to not be disapointed about this individual boat. The topside is literally perfect. Thanks and looking forward to any more useful information regarding this boat. Looking forward to hopefully owning one of what appear to be great boats. Mark
