Universal

I have an Ericson 29 that I replaced the Atomic 4 with a Universal M320B. Engine was a very good fit in the space and it works great! Mouting beds were good, just needed to raise up some. Replaced muffler, fuel line, control cables, raw water intake. Aluminum fule tank remained. Also needed a new 3 blade prop. I had a guy do the install and I helped him where I could and it took him 24 hours. Most of that was aligning the engine and related tasks. Once the engine was in hooking everything up was pretty easy.

A precision rebuilt A4 ......

Is about $4000. Add a few modern bells and whistles and youre good to go for another 20+ years. Dont forget when replacing with an oil-burner that the tank, control panel, engine beds, exhaust system, prop and prop shaft, etc. etc. have to be changed/modified. A new oilburner will cost somewhere near $10-11K ... and your P30 is going to 'sit funny' in the water with all that excess weight. go to www.moyermarine.com for exact prices This the website of the world's famous Atomic4 guru - Don Moyer. You can drive to Chestertown Md and pick it up yourself to save delivery charges. BTW, dont forget to rebuild the exhaust system. If you have the copper 'riser' pipe etc. its an easy 're-do' by a 'red-metal' shop. hope this helps
