Does anyone have any experience with Globe impellers in their engine? The company claims that they are guaranteed to run dry for 15 minutes. The ad claims that Globe impellers are made of elastomer compounds, developed for optimum performance and self lubricating for run-dry protection, and that they have greater resistance to sand and dirt abrasion. These impellers are made from elastomers giving them the combined characteristics and multiple properties of rubber, nitrile, viton and neoprene.

Never heard of them, but

I just called them. (thanks for the link) UNBELIEVABLE! They make one for my Yanmar 3GM30F! I talked to the Owner of the company. I wanted to know what we could expect as far as service life is concerned. He quoted 3 independent research studies that found service life to be triple that of OEM products. (call him for specifics) The retail price for my Yanmar is $25. That's $5 less than the Yanmar impeller that I last bought. Distributor in Seattle is 'Hamilton' at 206 784 7400. Wonder how long till Yanmar sues?

Try Defender

I also found them on Defender.com. I have the YEU version of the 3GM30F on my boat (for some unknown reason) and Defender lists the Globe impeller for $19.99 for my engine.
