I am sailing a 20' paceship cruisette from Long Island to Beaufort early this summer. Can anyone give me any suggestions or hints. I was a west coast sailor for years and haven't done any on the east coast. Thanks.

The obvious recomendation is to enter the upper Chesapeake via Delaware canal and take your preferences going south: quiet creeks, small towns, major centers or local events depending on your timing. Sights include Baltimore Inner Harbor, Annapolis, St.Michaels, and Solomons, where the Hunter Rendevous on June 19-21 is open to all. Get a copy of Spinsheet or other publications with local calendars. Some samples are... to make that trip in a 20-footer. By all means, exploit the Chesapeake Bay and stay safe.
