Vibration

I also get a vibration from under the boat when she's clipping along. Release the tension on your keel cable. Raising my mast is done on the trailer with my mainsheet on the forstay. I throw the forstay over my shoulder, as a bystander to hank on the mainsheet which is hung off the bow of the boat and up the mast goes. Lock the mainsheet in the cam and set the boat up. Catalina Direct also sells a new device that is supposed to help out, don't know if I want to spend the money on it or not. My kids 12 and 14 are still enchanted with sailing and I don't get to sail alone much these days. "Windsocket" 2226

Boom Vang

Troy, I have a long line on my vang so I can atach it to the forstay and the bow plate and run it back to the colk pit. Then I can exstend the mast rest on the back of the boat and then step the mast. My boat came with a pin in the bottom of the mast that I replaced with a bolt, nilok and two finder washers. This keeps the mast from twesting on its way up or down. Steping down is easy and I don't exstend the mast rest. What Windsocket said on the vibration.

If your c22 has a swing keel there should be a keel lock down bolt which should be tighten. It might be worn on the keel or maybe need to be tightened harder. Good luck, Imagine
