I want to keep my logbook in the cockpit somewhere supported so I can update it more regularly. What method do you use to hold/support your log-book so it does not blow overboard or generally crash around in the cockpit and destroy itself?

Pete, Nice part of the world. Cruised around there quite a bit, San Juans, Sydney, Victoria, the Frazer and gotta love that Active Pass...;-) Logbooks, charts and nav gear are never allowed in the cockpit, not even on a sunny day in port. Don't start a bad habit, this can mean the difference from knowing your DR and guessing...electronics do fail, I had a GPS freeze on me too.Don't take chances keep it in the chart table where it belongs.
