O my keel lock down bolt and hole don't line up...They are off like 3/8 inch. I can't lock down my keel?! Anyone else have this problem?

Pictures are coming. Need advice thanks guys.

The boat was level or flat not healed over I tried different keel cable tightness
It's so far off I can't even hammer it in lol

I'm going to guess that the hole in your keel through which your keel bolt fits has become elongated and your keel is sitting a bit lower as a result. Or your keel bolt is bent, allowing the keel to sit a bit lower.

I'd put my money on the elongated pivot hole in the keel. A quick and dirty way to fix would be to drill the lockdown holes in the trunk larger so you can get the bolt through the keel, or get a round file and make the holes into a slot. Mine lockdown hole was already "elongated" by a PO, if yours is still only 3/8 you're lucky!

Good to know. I just refurbished the keel and the main bolt hole is elongated so i will drill a new hole for the lock down.

Thanks for the advice sounds good to me! :)
