Hello again, My boat has no lights or power what so ever. I'm trying to figure out where to put theport, starboard and aft lights. The bow of the boat is quite "busy" with cleats, vent, pulpit mounts etc. Can I mount the side lights on the cabin roof? Thanks, -tap

I have mine installed on the pulpit. As a matter of facts, I bought it from CD and arrived with the base attached. The wires were installed at the factory, inside the tubing and I had to drill the deck to get it inside. If you have a stern pulpit, you can install it there. There are different kinds of bases you can buy, depending on where you are going to install it. The only problem with the pulpit installation is that they are exposed and can be broken by any mishap, but they will be more visible.

Nav lights

Carlos, I was called aside twice by Marine Police due to obstructed bow light (deck mounted) on my 1976 C22. It took some work, but I installed a rail-mount bow light on the pulpit. My best advice: Take the pulpit off the boat in order to drill the wiring passages. (I wasted much energy and a couple of drill bits trying to do it the *easy* was.) You will probably want to refer to a local boat to see how the switch panel, wiring, and battery are set up. Good luck, Reg 6150 Wild Hare
