Hah, we'll be in Deltona March 11-15. Gotta check in on the grandparents and see what needs to be done around the house. Aluminum fascia keeps falling off so I suppose I get to climb around on an ancient ladder.

The Admiral has insisted on a day riding coasters at Universal though, so I won't complain too much. :D

Steve, what's the depth profile down there? Fin keels ok or is it all wing keels in Lake Monroe?

Fin keels do fine for this event and we've got a number of bigger boats that participate. There are a couple shallow spots but they are well known and not at all hard to avoid. The Trans-Monroe doesn't take you near the couple places causing concern.

Rum Race*, Wednesday evening March 12 at 6:20 (stays light till about 9:00) and a LMSA Club race the 16th at 12:00. I don't miss too many Wednesday evenings and you are guaranteed a spot by showing up at the ramp; club policy. There is a fin keel at U-Sail (www.usailflorida.com) and though I can't speak for DJ, she may get you on her boat with a bit of notice. The club race is too far out for me to know. I would welcome you aboard either day and should have the spin set up installed by then. Having said that and assuming I go, I should be back from St Maarten on the 10th but ya never know... ;-)

* So, for the rum race, first place corrected gets 10 poker chips, second place 9, third 8, down to 10th place at which point everyone who raced gets one chip. Draw for the rum, so there is still incentive to do well, but anyone can win... not that the bottle always makes it out of the bar anyway, but it's always fun to win it!
