Captain Tristan,

While I have no sailing advise, I have comments...Positive ones. This sounds like an amazing, possibly once in a lifetime trip. I am 46, my wife is 33, boys are 5 and 2... This is something that we dream of doing one day. I graduated in 1984, and can not believe I am this old already, it seems as though it was just yesterday. Life fly's by WAY too fast. Other than being safe and respecting the sea, I have only one piece of advise: Enjoy every single moment of your trip, and make great memories! You guys are so young and this could be an absolutely amazing way to start your life together. Enjoy your time together, enjoy the sights, do things together like teaching her sailing, cooking together etc. Possibly when you get to the islands, learn scuba diving...there is nothing like it. I certainly can't speak for anyone here, but I suspect there are MANY of us who would LOVE to take an adventure like this. "Life" sometimes gets in the way of the things we would love to do.... Money, children, jobs...etc..... You are in a fantastic position to do something AMAZING ..... A once in a lifetime event.... hopefully more than once.... When people tell you life passes by way too fast, it's the truth.... So... Anyway Tristan, with that in mind........ Make the most of EVERY moment, be safe, and have an absolutely wonderful trip.... May you and your girlfriend have many years together living the dream!..... Good luck.... Post pics...
