When I was sanding down the bottom of my vega to do new bottom paint, I came across these two tiny slotted screw heads on the bottom of the boat. Right on the centerline fore and aft. One is just about 12 inches below the waterline on the front, and one is about the same distance from the back waterline.THey look like maybe #4s.If I take them out, will the boat fall apart?___

Hi

These are the floating marks. One at the stern and one at teh bow. Can be hard to find as you have found out!! Leave them in as they are used to measure correct racing floating lines.
