I have a 1993 First 31 Beneteau Shoal draft.
When I bought the boat 3 years ago I noticed a slight list to Starboard.
Now it seems to list even more.
When viewed on the starboard side the water line is even with the white stripe just above the bottom paint. When viewed on the Port Side the water line is about 2" below the white stripe.
When viewed from the bow the boat appears to list to Starboard.
On the Starboard side is the fuel tank (18 gal) full, and the waste water tank (18 gal) 1/4 full. On the Port side is the freshwater tank (35 gal) 1/2 full and a 5 gal tank of fresh water the stove is also on the Port side. So the boat should be fairly well balanced.
I have checked with Beneteau and they claim no issues with the structure supporting the keel.
The keel is winged and weighs about 3000#.
I have not hit anything underwater. This past spring I looked at the keel hull joint and there was no separation. I do plan to check the keel nuts to see if they are loose. I have no leaks around the keel bolts. My next step is to haul the boat and check the keel.
Has anyone had this kind of problem?
