does anyone know how i can get my hands on "assembly for o'day. 18.5 javolin?...i bought this 1971 classic in fall ....iam not a txxee....but knowone seems to know how to get set-up manual....i would be glad to pay some one to help with instructions...i havnt sailed in 30 years ....iam not long for this earth.....iam told 6...9...months tops so i bought a cottage a pontoon boat 2 motor cycles.....and a sail boat i used to love the silent speed of my o'day years ago...wacthing the a-boats race on pewaukee lake..Wi....even buddy melges.......oh well if any body know anybody......please e mail me .. jimemma@sbcglobal.net...thanks lip

Tell us where you are. There just might be someone near you. Small sailboats do not require special genius but just having done it once or twice.

Is your boat 18.5' long.....or is she a JAVELIN? The JAVELIN is only 14' long. There is tons of good info on hte Javelin Class Association web site, includign a source for the rigging guide, however..it is the guide for the later 1973 and later model, slight changes, I'd suggest giving Rudy Nickerson at D&R Marine a call (508) 644-3001, he was the parts Dept. manager for O'Day and knows a lot!
