Guys, and especially Maine Sail, as most of you know from my prior post I am currently working through my electrical system. I would like to focus on a single issue today.
It involves the appropriate hook up of my LinkLITE battery monitor. I have tried to make the wiring diagram as clear as possible below. It will take just a little bit of effort to trace the "link light" to the house battery. But I think it is otherwise pretty clear. Please let me use "link light" because that is what my voice to text software plugs in.
If you guys could comment on the way I have it wired. Also I specifically questioned the ground for the solar array. Should it be plugged into the system ground busbar or should it be connected to the battery.
Also, note that the main battery bank plugs to the system positive, as does the alternator plug to the same system positive comment busbar. However the auxiliary battery only plugs into the battery selector switch. What is the effect of this on my battery monitoring system.
I realize that there are other issues with battery selecting switch, etc. also with charging the auxiliary battery etc. but I would like to focus on the link Light right now. Maine, if you get involved I promise to make a contribution/ donation to the site. It is overdue anyway. Seriously.
