The below/attached url should connect you to a PBS site for a specified episode of a show called Quest. This first segment is about the physics of sailing. Probably a bit basic for this learned forum, but its presented very well.

I accidentally saw the show when I turned on the TV a couple of days ago. I wasn't really paying attention to the TV, but several things caught my attention:
- The opening zoom from space zeroes in to my marina.
- The sailing instructor was the exact same fellow who kept my daughter and I upright and on course during our basic keelboat and basic lessons at Modern Sailing Academy in Sausalito last summer;
- The demonstration boat "Talisman" in the video is berthed just behind my boat,
- The filming is at the entrance to Richardson Bay between the Golden Gate and Angel Island ... the can't avoid stomping ground for all Sausalito boats.
