Link 20 alternative energy mode F05

Hey Gents,

Playing around with my link 20 and trying to set it up to use bank 2 as the alternative energy mode. I set all the functions correctly and hooked a charging source to it and it is counting down AH like it usually does. The book says it should count up to 1999 and roll over, not count down. Has anyone used this feature? I am curious if this is normal behavior or I need to do any other steps to get this working. I double checked all the shunt sense wires to make sure I didn't oops.

I am using a Link 20 bank 2 for measuring my wind generator output. I have had the same problem as you. All of the other parameters seem to be correct, but the AH count is down instead of up as the manual claims. I simply reversed the sense wires for bank 2. I believe that the problem is a software bug.

After reversing the bank 2 sense wires, it worked exactly as it should.

I don't know if Xantrex has any in-depth knowledge of this unit. Xantrex bought this product from Heart Interface over five years ago. I think that the product was developed by Heart.

That is what I was leaning towards. They stopped supporting the Link 20 over a year ago now. I had a missing character on the screen and my unit was the last one to be repaired as the only guy who knew about them had moved on.
