I have a new Link 10 and need help from other H26 and H260 owners as to where they have installed the readout. I am looking at somewhere near the electrical panel but I don't know if I have enough depth behind the area for the length of the readout. I need to have at least 3.15 inches. Any suggestions or installation hints are appreciated. Thanks. Bob S/V Gravyboat

Link 10?

Greetings from your eternally grateful friend in NJ. Looks like it will be a while before the lakes thaw. Anyway, I was curious. What's a Link 10. Regards, Ron Mehringer

Battery Monitor

Hi Ron. It won't be long before we are back in business. I just have to get past the next 4-5 weeks. The Link 10 is a single bank battery monitor by Cruising Equipment Company and is sold by a couple different names. The Link 10 I have is from Heart Interface. I want to be able to tell if the solar panel is keeping up with replacing the amp draw from the use of all the electrical equipment. I Can't wait to get it installed. I also have some other things planned. Hope you are getting ready for the launch date. We will have to get together. Give me a call if you need any help or assistance. Bob S/V Gravyboat

Battery Monitor

Bob, I installed the monitor over the cutout on the starboard side of the rear bukhead. Short wire run to the battery and an easy matter to lean by the side of the galley in order to keep an eye on the numbers when necessary. Hope this helps. Walt J Shammah

Boys and their toys

Bob - I can only imagine all the gadgets and upgrades you must have by now! Last year I was the first boat on the water. This year, I'm gonna take my time and do some maintenance and upgrades. Adding an autopilot to put an end to the one-man Chinese fire drill I call sailing. My wife likes to "assume the position" on the starboard seat. Back against the cabin, magazine in hand. So much for getting any help with sail trim. Let's make a point of getting together this year. Ron Mehringer
