I want to replace all of the lines/ropes on my Hunter 34'. One company I'm considering is the Cajun Trading Co. Is anyone familiar with their lines, they seems to be quite a bit less expensive than some other? Any comments or recommendations will be appreciated. Dick

I believe that

the Cajun Trading company sells NE Rope but at a discount as they purchase it in mass quantities. I bought a spinnaker halyard from them 2 years ago and it has been good so far. The shackle used was made by ronstan

rigger

My neighbor replaced his lifelines, sheets and ropes by a local rigger. He also had the tension adjusted on the stays. I have know idea what he paid but it was real easy. The rigger came to the boat and did all the work. All the owner had to do was sign a check. You might consider calling a local rigger and getting an est. It may be less expensive than you think. I got a pretty good price on NE rope from

David Smith New Berlin, WI 53151 United States This was through e-bay, I think he goes by "mkerig101" and has a large selection.

Very Happy with Cajun Trading

I ordered a complete set of rigging for my H31 from Cajun Trading. To my knowledge, Cajun sells thier own brand of line, not NER. Spec wise, their XLE rope compares very favorably to NER STA SET and Sampson XLS. I can tell you for sure that their customer service can't be beat. They bent over backwards to meet my needs, and they did it at a price that was considerably less than anyone else I know of. Cajun Trading may be the best kept secret in rigging. Not from me!

I used Cajun too. Wonderful. Replaced everything at less than half the cost. Dock lines too. (H34)

Lines replaced

I don't know how the price compares, but I had a lot of rigging, life lines, etc re-done by West Marine Rigging Shop. Excellent work. You can take the old lines to your friendly neighborhood WM and tell them to reproduce it exactly (if that is what you want) and the store will send them out for you to be picked up in about a week - depending on how busy the rigging shop is.

Another Canadian source

Even less expensive than Cajun is the yacht braid from Binnacle.com, also in Canada: http://us.binnacle.com/index.php?cPath=26_88
