liner leak?

Please help ! We had air-conditioning installed. When the yard drilled the hole for the thru hull in the main sump, just behind the mast, water came from between the liner and the hull. The man from the yard said he has seen this on more than one Hunter. Does anyone know why?

H2O Under Liner

I had a H34 and water would become trapped between the liner and hull because there was no drainage route to the bilge. I believe this was fairly common in the '80's.I have also heard of some seepage from the hull to external keel joint from fittings/bolts in the bottom of the bilge. This was expecially true with the cast iron keels. Caulking cured this problem.The archieves should have posts relative to both problems.Good luck!Doug
