Saw one of these for small lines so I made a big one for our lines.

It might beat throwing them in the Admiral's washing machine. I know I would catch hell for that.

I get it, I think...
Do you put soap and a scrubber inside?
How often does the line have to tumble to completely dry?

Soak the line in a bucket with soapy water, then rinse the line by passing it though the washer, hang up for drying. I will have to try it.

I'm curious what part the small sledge hammer played in this project? ;)

From what I can see don't you still need another part to convert the hose connection from male to female ?

Very cool idea!
________
I showed the Admiral, since we just replaced all dock lines. We were using all of our Hurricane sized lines to berth. We are cleaning them and inspecting, just encase of a "blow".
_________
I was going to use a pressure washer, on our driveway with a little bleach as the side mixing liquid.
But...
the Admiral's washing machine. I know I would catch hell for that.
Was another alternative.

Guess what we own? A commercial co-op laundry with Huge 80 lb washer for rugs and sleeping bags , etc. Designed for adding bleach, soap, etc. and Hot water, no less.

I may advertise, "Bring down your boat ropes to Wash/bleach and let the attendants wash and roll up your lines at $3/line".:pimp:

The Admiral just told me... "We are NOT going to carry those lines to the Laundry":badbad:

"Throw them into our dirty, in ground, "Hot Tub", toss in the pool chemicals for algae control. Wait a few hours and then You get in to hot tub and clean both tub and line."
Well it looks like Hot Tub day and Guess what is coming back to New Orleans?
Dixie Beer

I have a double female hose used to connect a water filter to a hose. Like the washing machine hose.

If you can't fix it with a hammer, then its electrical. That last bushing slipped into the "T" and around the 1" pipe inside gluing two sides. I didn't want to get it half inside and have the glue set up. One hit and it set faster than I could get a slight twist on the bushing. I wasn't sure what size drill bit (1/16") for the tiny holes. I may have used too big a bit. Now to soak some lines.
