I have a 1994 Hunter 29.5. I have, what you might call, a mini-traveler attached to the steering pedestal (on these boats, the pedestal is HUGE). Anyway, not knowing the correct terms, the lateral lines on the traveler are somewhat worn and slip many times when I am trying to trim the Main. They look to be about .5" thick. Question #1: What type of line should I use to replace? Question #2: What about using slightly thicker line? Thanks in advance...

thicker line will make the traveler harder to use. The blocks are designed for specific sizes, and there are line size recommendations in your owner's manual. The great thing about the new high-modulus lines is that smaller-diameter line can be used without sacrificing strength, usually with less stretch. On a traveler, thinner is generally better.
