I would like to keep my sheets off the cockpit floor and hang them from some type of hanger that is commercial or homemade. Need to be ready for use with tacking and manuvering. Have seen Beneteau button with piece of string for $7.50, little pricey for so little. Open to suggestions. Thanks

Ronstan Line Hanger

We like the Ronstan line hangers. They use readily-available shock cord loops. You can find them from many sources on-line. Highly recommended. Gary

Make your own

Get a block of wood 3'X 4". Round off the corners. Round off the edges on the top side and make a grove along the center big enough for two passes of 1/4" line on the bottom side along the 4" axis. Make a grove in one of the 3" sides deep enough to hold 1- 1/4" line. Finish it off nice and pretty. Take about a 24" length of 1/4" line and tie a not in each end. Put the knots on the end that you made the grove in and run the lines down the grove on the bottom. You should now have a loop on the end that did not get groved. 5200 the whole thing where ever you want to have a line. To use, coil the line, reach through the middle of the coil grab the loop and pull it through and attach it to the grove on the 3" end. Takes me about 15 minutes to make one with a router and and hour or two to finish it out.

Beneteau Buttons

My boat has six of those little Beneteau buttons and they work amazingly well. Even though they are pricey, by the time you screw around with planks of wood, routers etc you would save time and hassle by picking up several buttons. Would look way cleaner/uncluttered than pieces of finished firewood too. Just my rather strong view.
