LindaM: H34 Wing Keel Add-on

Sorry...but I have no info on where the add-on wing came from. It was installed 2 owners ago. The wings are made from lead and I'm told they added an additional 650# ballast. Since I never sailed a stock H34, I'm not sure how much stiffer the boat sails. From my perspective, it seems to be no more tender than a catalina 36. I have digital pictures of the keel, but the file size is too large to post on the HOW website. I would imagine that any keel manufacturer could fabricate something for you...my hunch is that's what the original owner of my boat did. you might try

Stan Stroga, he is the owner of an H34 in my marina and I believe he added extra weight to the bottom of his keel and it now has wings-haven't seen him around the marina in weeks but his e-mail address might be in the owners directory. Hope this helps.
