I was looking at a 240 the other day and noted that there is a ground leading from the mast plate down to the keel. Does anyone know if a 23.5 is similarly grounded? I don't see anything like it on mine but it could be under the mast plate and not visible. I assume that the ground was for lightning protection.

This may be a question only Crazy Dave can answer since he was so intimate with the development of the H23.5.

There is a wire running down the forward edge of the compresion post to the stainless steel bracket that holds the centerboard. The bottom of the bracket is below the water line.
