I sail a Catalina 400 MKII and looking for a lifting davit for my 6hp outboard. I've seen one on another Catalina 400 that was attached to the vertical bar of the stern handrail. Owner of the lifting davit said it came with his boat and had no idea of the make and model. Anyone out there have one and can give me some info on it?

Can't help with that specific model, however, I used to have a Garhauer motor lift and I liked it much better than the Nova Lift I have now.

Do you have a photo?

I have the Garhauer as well, its a very nice unit and way less $$$ than the Forespar which I also picked up second hand. I will sell the Forespar when I figure out where to get a better spring that engages the winch lock. The spring is so weak that you have to manually press in the lock latch. It is a heavy duty unit, rated for more weight than the Garhauer, but also costs $800 new. It was called the Cargo Mate and I don't thing they even make it anymore.
