I have need for a life line stanchion to replace a broken one on an '89 Hunter 30. The base of the stanchion screws onto a machine screw protruding from the strip inside the toe rail (The strip may be part of the toe rail). It is supported by a tubular bracket that bends half way around and is welded to the stanchion 4 inches above the base with two legs extending downward to flanges with a hole in each through which machine screws screw the bracket into the deck. The stanchion is 24 1/2" long with holes for two life lines, the lower 12" above the base, the upper just below the top of the stanchion. It will be much appreciated if anyone can advise me where I might find a used replacement for the stanchion. Our boat is located in Eagle Harbor on Bainbridge Island just across Puget Sound from Seattle. Thanks very much. Don Marsh

Can it be taken to a welder and repaired? I had one welded this spring, about $20. If not chances are it was made by TIQ in Michigan. For sure they can duplicate it. See Related Link.
