Licensing or titling a boat

Hi all,
I bought a boat that was titled in Washington and kept in idaho. I re-registered the boat with Idaho as I want to keep it there to use next year. I am a Canadian and so have not brought the boat into Canada and therefore not titled it in Canada. Since I have the original Washington title from previous owner along with Bills of Sale and Release of Interest documents, does the Washington title expire? Do I need to re-title it somewhere? Based on what I read from Idaho Transportation Department boats of this age are optional for titling (30 years).
Anyone have experience as a Canadian owning a boat in the US.

The title does not "expire" but you are required to re-title or transfer titile into your name wiithin about 15 days of purchase ( so the sales tax can be collected). Usually you can't register a boat/car if title is not in your name.
