Mine, like many I supose, is insured in the same policy with the larger boat.

Yes, the dink and motor are named as items in my Liability and comprehensive clauses, with reduced deductibles. That stinkin' little hot-rod brings out my evil powerboater streak. I love to get it up on plane and skip across the water, bow painter in my teeth, throttle twisted hard, leaning into the breeze. I know it is going to get me into trouble one day.

Difficult to get my dink up on a plane since it only has oars......not saying though that it can't be done ...especially with a can of spinach..

If your primary boat insurance doesnt include dinks, etc. check your 'home owners policy' as many are covered there ... but only up to certain amounts, etc. for liability, theft, etc.
