LF jabsco water pump

We are looking for a Jabsco raw water pump for our yanmar 3qm30, the pump number is 2760-0001 but 2760-0003 also fits (only the impeller material is different). We need a replacement one before we cross to the bahamas, the shaft on ours has some grove on it and it's leaking, so a spare one (or one to replace ours and keep ours as a spare) won't be luxury. Don't I remember that you did a rebuild on the pump? Well someone did and I almost wrote of my own experience. After buying the kit replacing the seals it worked for awhile and then began leaking again. The rebuild kits do not have enough of the right parts. I ended up at Fred's link buying a new one. This is years ago on my old 2QM20. I'll bet the price has gone up.

Yeah we changed the bearing on the second day of our trip, but the shaft is scored where at the level of the seal just behind the impeller... it will always leak unless we put a new shaft in (150$)... I would prefer waiting after our return and making the shaft instead of buying it... we don't really mind the leaking part, we just want to make sure we will have a spare one in the Bahamas.

I saw Fred's link, I might go that way, at the marina we are right now, I was quoted $350 + shipping. I just want to wait a little, there might be some other flea market lower, I saw some very good pumps for 35$, but none of them 2760-0001... I just wish I had picked up the two jabsco pump I saw in Annapolis, they where the perfect size, I would just have needed to do a custom bracket.... Just like the alternator, I could have bought one right away for 900$, but got one in near new condition for 100$. Just tought I might be lucky here :).
