Does this look correct? New to us boat (Hunter 41DS) has the anchor road/chain wrapped around the windlass as shown. Seems to me is should go the other way around. The foot switches were backwards when we dropped anchor (up was down, down was up) so I reversed the electrical connections at the controller but a closer look at the way the chain is wrapped makes me question if it it’s reversed from the way it should be configured.

It's funny, but I'm going through the same type of issue right now on my H33. Same anchor locker configuration Yes it is backwards. The chain should be falling into the anchor locker from under the chain guard on the front of the windlass. My issue is the chain bunches up under the windlass and stops turning. Loks like the PO came uo w ith a silution to fix this problem.
