Lewmar winch part

I need the ratchet gear for a Lewmar 16ST single speed winch. It is an old one, the HoldFast series manufactured between 1978 and 1983. I've been searching the Internet, but only find the entire winch. Since mine is in really good condition except for that, I was hoping to find a source for old winch parts. Any suggestions welcome.

I should have mentioned that I've contacted Lewmar, and am still waiting for a reply. That was the obvious solution, but their website says they have a very limited supply of replacement parts for this old series. So I was hoping that someone out there knew of one of those little hole in the wall types of places with a million spare bits around, or had an old winch like this they would be willing to sell for parts...

Jtoben....... the ratchet gear is basic to all winches and could possibly be interchangeable between models... it is highly unlikely that Lewmar redesigned every single component when a new model replaced an older one... Go to the PYacht site and compare between all #16 size winches. http://www.pyacht.com/lewmar-winch-schematics.htm

You will note that ALL ratchet gears for ALL #16 winches have the SAME part number! (lew15000464) I leave it to you to come to a conclusion and take the risk that the same part would work for your winch.
