Lewmar Port Light Hinges

I have 4 Lewmar Standard Portlight 5's in my Hunter 44DS. I need to replace several hinges on these portlights and am having trouble identifying the part numbers for the hinges. Has anyone ordered the replacement hinges from Lewmar and if so could you please provide the Lewmar part number so I may do so?

What's Wrong

Just wondering what's wrong with them on a 2006 Hunter,seems they should last much longer on a newer boat,what's the problem my H-36 is 2007.

I would contact Lewmar. Their port model/sizes are difficult to figure out to say the least.

What happens is that the mechanism that holds them open is a friction concept in the hinges. So gradually the friction is reduced over time and you must tighten a fastener to increase the friction. Eventually the hinge plastic cracks and they won't stay open at all. Latest information is that these on my boat may actually be Bomars.

My 2007 H-36 uses allen wrench to adjust the tightness of the opening portlights,is this the same on your boat and I had a 2001 290 that used the same system so what part is cracking.

The adjustment on mine is with a phillips screwdriver and a locknut held in place by the plastic hinge. latest thinking on mine is that they are actually Bomars....waiting for an answer from Bomar/Pompette or whatever their name is.
