Been working for Gm for 40 years,Dielectric grease,gm part dept, west marine, your local pool warehouse, small tube about $5.00. Wipe off gasket, rub it on gaskets leave open for appox 5-10 min. Thats it. Gm use it for recondition of all there weather strips. Will soak into weather strip . Redid all my ports orginal gaskets no leaks.Use it on all the zippers. Put it in all your electrical connectors helps lower resistance in connectors. All most as many uses as wd-40.

Clean gasket. Apply vaseline. It works.

Hmmm - ok guys - but my leak is between the Gasket and the acrylic hatch lid that the gasket is wrapped around. So - do you mean REMOVE the gasket from the acrylic, apply Vaseline around the acrylic, and then put the gasket back on?

Because with the leak happening between the gasket and the acrylic lid, I can't see how cleaning and applying Vaseline would help - unless you are thinking of a leak between the gasket and lower frame - which is NOT what I am having a problem with.

Lewmar has been beyond un-helpful. I called them and when I asked for instructions or a diagram for assembly was told that "it's easy - just take the frame off and replace the gasket" and no drawings were available. Totally unimpressed.
