We have a 2004 Hunter 36 which we purchased new in 2006. So now the one year Hunter warranty is up. The Lewmar cars are suppose to have stops to keep them from hitting the cabin.(after they hit the cabin I find this out) Ours are broken - the pins, the stops, and the roller on the starboard side. I have determined that they are warranted by Lewmar for 3 years and that the earlier cars had stops which could wear out early and the pins also wore out early. They now have the new improved units which they sent to me at no charge under their warranty to replace the damaged ones. Be sure to check your cars because if they touch your cabin, they can damage your cabin and if they are less than 3 years old you may be able to get the new and improved ones. Our cabin was damaged, but Lewmar said they were not responsible for that.
