I am looking to buy some letters and I can't get out to my boat's storage for a few days. I was wondering if someone has or could get the measurements of the transom of a 22? I need to know half of width of the transom because the motor bracket is on the starboard side. The printer gave me these stats: 6"x48" Name Max 3"x36 Port Max. Thanks.

My 2 cents

I just bought new letters for my Oday 23. I would guess that the available area (half of the transom) is about the same size as your boat. I had about 25" of usuable transom-width for the name of the boat, and about 15" of height for the name plus port of call. I used 4" letters for the name and 2" letters for the port of call. There is enough room on my transom for two lines of boat name with 4" letters, so you could even go with 5" letters if the name is one line and not too lengthy.
