Mine is vintage 80's with the (ugh) brown fiberglass sink that is molded out of fiberglass. That aside... the Head doors have to be closed or at least unfolded for my big butt to sit down on the head. thoughts i've had: 1- Move the bulkheads? 2- epoxy paint the sink and it's panels 3- shorten the V-berth on the starboard side 4- it's just too much trouble, Leave it alone I'll take some pics next chance i get.

you don't have a lot of options !

Denise; option 1- isn't an option. i don't know which year you have, but its probably very similar to my 79". the lower forward shrouds are bolted to the bulkhead. you can't move their location without changing the design of the rig.and you definately can't just remove them. option 2- what i would do is replace the counter and put in a new stainless sink. option 3- sounds to me like a lot of work. Option 4- sometimes is the best option. S/V Que Pasa?

denise did you get your boat rerigged

I read on another site that you wanted to rerig for shorthanded or singlehanding. look in the O'day30 pictures of Que Pasa? you will see how she's been rerigged for shorthanded sailing. s/v Que Pasa?

Oh! lol

Hey Jim.. I kinda forgot about this posting duh... thanks for the replies! Anyway.. I think the head redesign is not high on my list of things to do. I agree about messing with the bulkheads. the boat is about halfway set up for single handing now. and it's already a joy to sail! got a new main halyard and boom vang back to the cockpit, moved one mast mounted winch to the cabin top. got a new mainsheet vang, rope clutches, new mast base blocks and deck organizers, 5.5 ft traveler MT1 from garhauer also! Even got lazy jacks! Still things to do but it's getting there!. A friend in my yacht club has a 322 that's set up for singlehanding too! I keep forgetting to take pictures ! fair winds!
