what was the original prop for a 1984 hunter 34. my boat came with a feathering prop from the previous owner. i have to reinstall it and need to know the original pitch degree. i have the yanmar engine thanks, mike

The original prop was a 2 blade
15" * 15" ...For me it was like having a brick spinning down there..lots of vibration. went to a fixed sailor style 15" * 11" pitch three blade. MUCH smoother.

My '83
had a 2 blade 15X12. I believe mine is a fairly late 1983 as it has the small mast step, and a Yanmar.

Don't think a fixed prop pitch has much in common!
Mike: I do not think that a fixed 2 or 3 blade fixed prop has much in common with a feathering prop. I suggest you contact the mfg of the prop and get their specs.
