I have a leak of very dirty brown water through the center overhead light. This light is in the center of the main cabin just aft of the mast step. I have tried plugging the wire hole unsuccessfully. There appears to be a double ceiling and water sloshing around between it. Anyone had this problem? Any suggestions or ideas on how to repair?

The water is probably from the sea hood area. It is the panel that covers the running rigging and the solar panel. there are two versions. The single piece (real PITA to remove) and a two piece. Lots of dirt gets accumulated and once one of the screw holes that hold the sea hood down start leaking it could be pretty dirty.
A couple of things to confirm the leak. Place a tarp over the sea hood and spray water on and see if that fixes it. Also check the inspection panels over the 4 hanging lockers in the salon. The hull to deck seam is behind them and a lot of water can drain into these channels also from the sea hood.
Note that you can get some pretty weird leaks out of the sea hood as the inner (lower) overhead can drain to port, starboard (the channels) or center (the light) depending on how the boat balance is. Fuel tank level vs rear 40 gal water tank etc all change the angle of the boat so you get some pretty inconsistent leaks. The tarp will confirm it thought.

Thanks for the thoughts. I removed the Sea Hood once (single piece) thinking that was it and resealed with caulk in screw holes. I only get the leak when sailing and the boat is healing over on a beat. It leaks onto either side settee depending on direction of heel. Dirty brown stuff!! Maybe I should remove again and reseal screw holes???
