Legend 37.5 Bilge Pump

Our 1991 Legend 37.5 did not come with a manual bilge pump. I am pretty sure manual bilge pumps were installed in later model 37.5's. I believe the pump was installed in one of the cockpit lazarettes with the hose running down between the holding and fuel tanks. What route did the factory use to snake the hose from the space between the tanks to the bilge? How large was the factory pump?

We have the same model boat - 1991 37.5. Our manual bilge pump is mounted behind and under the front side of the aft cushion part of the port setee. There is a removable handle kept under the seat cushion. The handle is inserted into the pump from under the table and must be operated from there. Not exactly a safe and convenient location if you are taking on water. You cannot see it normally and unless you know to look there, it doesn't exist. I would like to see it mounted in the cockpit as you have described too.
