Legend 290 cutlass bearing

Have you ever changed a cutlass bearing on a Legend 290.
I'm having trouble removing the cutlass bearing, any advise apriciated.

This may be a stupid question, but did you back out the set screws?

If you removed the set screws the bearing should come out easy with a punch and a hammer. I had the thru shaft out when I did mine. That may have made it earier. But there is a tool to do this.
You might check with some of the Marine supply stores and see if they carry them.
The one Joe shows in his pic is nice. That will do the job.

Thanks to all that replied.
I tried a tool like the one shown, ended up removing the P bracket and had the bearing machined out.
