Leech Lake

Anyone out there sailed Leech Lake, MN? We are planning a family trip this July and will be overnighting on the boat. We'll be at The Shores of Leech Lake Marina for a few nights and we're looking for another stop along the way. Any experienced Leech sailors out there?

Hi RS! I live in Minnesota and have spent some time sailing on Leech Lake during the annual Leech Lake Regatta. I have not cruised the lake a lot but I know there are lots of places to visit or drop an anchor for the evening. A friend of mine who has done a lot of cruising there would be a great source of advice but he is in India right now. I'll see if I can get him to send me an email with some ideas that I can pass along to you.

Too funny!
I spent some time at a Leech Lake, but this one was part of the US Army's Ft. Irwin training center in California and was not only bone dry but was also leased to the USAF and used as a bombing range.
When I saw your title, all I thought was "don't go"!
