led wiring?

I have switched some of my interior lights to led bulbs and they work fine. Two other small wall lights in the cabin will not work with an led bulb. Can I just switch the leads on these two lamps to correct the polarity, or will that mess up the entire circuit?

just swap the leeds at the light only and see if they work if so use them just mark the wires after so you will know which is which....but first make sure you are getting power in those wires

If all you are switching is the light polarity, it should be fine. Just be sure you don't switch wires that are daisy chained to other things. You should be able to remove the light and verify what you are changing. I'd personally put a volt meter on it to check polarity.

I think he is saying that regular lights work as currently wired. You will still need to reverse the wiring at the socket to correct polarity for LED bulbs.

I believe LED bulbs are polarity sensitive (in most cases) so you have to ensure you have + to + and - to - wired correctly. If the bulb doesn't work, in a fixture reverse the wiring or in the case of Festoon's, reverse the bulb.

good luck,
