I found some LED strip lighting on amazon. Has anybody used these before? Any problems installing them?

If it is the stuff on the roll we use it on rv awnings , I just recieved 2 rolls off ebay for 19 dollars but have not installed them yet will be another two weeks yet. They are a low light output . I went to Home depot and bought there hard set of led strip light tubes ..5 one foot tube per kit ...110 volt and use my inverter when out sailing they are super bright as I have one hidden behind each grab rail on my cieling starboard and port

some (most) of the accent lighting for placing around your yard that you will find at home depot (and stores like them) such as some types of the strip lighting you are referring to, most of it is already 12 volt lighting. they use an adapter/transformer/converter so you can plug it into 110-115v.....
(they found 12v to be safer in the yard than 115v, for when pets or rodents chew on it, or urinate on an exposed wire)

my point is, if you check the details of the lights, you may not need the transformer and inverter.... you may be able to go directly to the battery power....

I bought 18" amber LED lighting strips on Ebay for a few bucks (can't remember how much)

I glued them to wood strips and 5200'd them on the headliner behind a molding.

I put 3 on either side, one in the battery box and one under the galley overhang. They create a great night light effect. Not quite bright enough to read by, but they are plenty bright enough. On most night sails, I shut them off when people go to sleep.

The roll of lights is 12 vollt but the ones fro Home Depot are 12 volt run through a transformer with a remote switch built in to turn lights off and on while sitting or sleeping
