I was changing the oil in my car and went to autozone to get a new oil filter. While there I looked at some LED lights for cars. They had a light bar made out of plastic with chrome finish that caught my eye. It has 12 LEDs and is waterproof as it is intended to light up a license plate. Not exactly cheap at $16 but I bought it and took it home. It produced enough light for reading and I plan to mount it over my chart table. The one I bought produces white light.
