LED light removal

This light doesn't work. How to remain
it? Challenging to me.

I'll guess- 1/8 turn CCW? Maybe just pulls off? Dynamite?

Could be simply a failed light that needs replacement (buy on SBO store) OR you might get lucky find the polarity is reversed. I experienced both on my sailboat. If it is the latter, remove the light and reverse the neutral and hot wire connections.

I think Rich has it.. Turn the bezel counterclockwise a little and it should pop off? Looks like a little dimple in the side of the bezel on the left vertical side; it probably engages a relief in the base.. Once the bezel is off, you should see screws holding it into the ceiling

The cover is probably held in by 2 springs. Pry the chrome ring a bit, and it sould start to come out some, then all the way.

I will make a wild guess and suggest popping the outer ring off the light......that is what I recall when I replaced a similar light on my Hunter 386 a number of years ago.

Looks like it simply pops off with a nudge from a putty knife blade or a thin screwdriver, but I would try a counter clockwise twist first.
( in the left side of the flange in your picture there appears to be a set screw or else something that would put a dimple inward. Theat would lead me to believe it will twist off carefully)

I will make a wild guess and suggest popping the outer ring off the light......that is what I recall when I replaced a similar light on my Hunter 386 a number of years ago.

The toggle switch will not allow any turning of the trim ring. There are several dimples (3??) in the ring that hold it on. One can be seen at about 10 o'clock in the OP pic. So @sailsfbay has the answer, pop it off. Either a good strong finger nail or a thin blade and lots of care so not to damage the headliner will do the trick. With the ring off, 3 screws will be exposed so you can lower the fixture and disconnect the 2 spade connectors. There should be no need to replace the complete fixture. No doubt a loose connections or the bulb is unserviceable.

Thanks to "Hello Below" I got the fixture out...very easy (after you've got good advice.) After I got it down I determined it's a bad connection from a wire to inside the LED. Tried moving the wire, and, yup light went on and off. Took the led home and now the wire broke inside. I think repairing this problem is beyond my capability; never was good at tiny soldering jobs, much less intricate work. So now to replace it. It's a Quick model TEO S IP 40. The sticker label with it says its 24V. Does this make sense? Should it be 12V?
