i just tried

I just tried to order some lights from marinebeam.com but they have NO phone number listed on the site.

Call me old school but I really prefer to speak with a human being when I have questions........

I don't think I should have to email or "text" my questions phone lines are cheap these days and I could care less if it's a 1-800..... Just a HUGE pet peeve of mine! Sorry for the rant. When Jeff gets a phone number I'll call and order some bulbs..:cussing::cussing::cussing:

Jeff if you are listening please PM me your number!

Websites that don't have RW contact information, like a street address or phone number, often strike me as a bit dodgy..... just too many fly-by-night companies that do that...

Re: i just tried

Sorry MaineSail, the sales are Internet only, mainly because we have a network of energy dealers that do most of the retail sales, but mostly because these days most folks emaill me anyway. Handy for photos of their lights etc. I do have a phone, and would be happy to talk. I'll PM you the number.

We are not a fly-by-night operation...and I hope to be able to confirm that to you in the morning. Practical Sailor is now doing the test of our products against the Sensibulb. I expect the results in the December Issue. After advising they would just test the MR11, they have now requested more of the products. The results were supposed to be in November issue but is was released today with no article.

Jeff-

I didn't mean to imply that you were a fly-by-night company...but seeing a brick and mortar address and phone number on a website generally go a long way to reassuring most people that they're dealing with a real company. That said, there have been plenty of FBN companies that had both an address and phone number. :)

I thought you weren't supposed to sell anything here?
You're not supposed to but Jim was addressing a comment made and only really clarifying and did not proactively come here, start a thread, and sell his wares. I think it's perfectly legit for him to respond to my comments. If he goes over the line and starts proactively marketing here then that's a different story.
We can't ban manufacturers from responding to make clarifications..

I am ordering a bulb from Marinebeam to test it and will let you know..
